Following the investigation by the Slovak Court of Auditors into the enormous amounts spent on Covid vaccines, Prime Minister Robert Fico calls for the continuation of the Slovak judicial investigation which could lead to a request for a European investigation targeting von der Leyen [1 ] .
During his speech to the Slovak Parliament on April 25 [2] , Robert Fico unveiled an audit by the NKO, the equivalent of the Court of Auditors for Slovakia, which questions the unnecessary repurchase in 2022 of 6 million doses for an amount of 151 million Euros of which 3.8 million doses have just expired in its stocks. The contractual provisions set before the change of power oblige Slovakia to pay for new doses until 2026. In the event of refusal of delivery, 50% of their amount remains due. He therefore thinks that it would be time for the judicial authorities of his country to investigate the contracts concluded between the European Commission and Pfizer. Note that a legal action carried out in Liège also seeks to obtain the details which would have been discussed by SMS between Albert Bourla and Ursula von der Leyen [3] . The contractual provisions commit Slovakia until 2026 while millions of doses perish in its stocks.
Robert Fico, leader of the Slovak Social Democrats, was removed from power in 2018. He had already expressed his concerns regarding the negotiations around an experimental vaccine from 2021 and its administration to children under 12 years old [4] . Since his return to power after the elections at the end of October 2023, he has been striving to free his country from the health influence of the WHO. Upon taking office in November, he declared that Slovakia would not sign the new pandemic treaty [5] [6] . Now it is also trying to free itself from payments due to Pfizer until 2026 although the new government has not accepted new doses since 2023, undelivered doses will have to be paid up to 50%, which Slovakia stubbornly refuses.
The government is looking for the loophole
Last January MP Peter Kotlár was appointed commissioner by the Slovak government responsible for reviewing processes and resource management during the covid pandemic. "The task of the Commissioner will be to carry out coordination tasks aimed at evaluating and analyzing the legality, economics, appropriateness and effectiveness of the measures taken in the context of the covid-19 pandemic during the 2020s to 2022,” the government said in the statement. Highlighting the lack of transparency and the exorbitant amounts paid out in vain, the Prime Minister thinks it is time for his country's judicial authorities to take up the matter. He also deplores a number of 20,000 deaths as a result of vaccination in his country.

Good news; thanks for sharing. Thank God for some of these heterodox countries in the EU. The magnitude of this mess seems infinite some days.
